“Chair-ish” Inspirations

Bring spring to a dull corner in your bedroom or sun porch with an eye catching chair.  It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money if you are handy with a paint brush and staple gun.  Here are three chairs that we found in our storage shed, that had definitely seen better days.  While some might have thought they should go directly to the dumpster – we thought that a little TLC would be just the thing to give each chair new purpose.

The wonderful carving on the back of this chair and the unique spindles give it a cottage feel. The original white paint didn’t do the details justice. By highlighting the special characteristics of the chair with these bright colors, it definitely makes a statement!

This little chair wasn’t too exciting in its previous life. The black iron and white vinyl seat were serviceable, but not show stopping.

With a few brush strokes and an eye popping floral fabric this “Ice Cream Parlor Chair” is now the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a sweet treat!

At first glance this "Bare Bones" chair with a wire seat and missing cushion could have easily been passed by. However, the upturned arms and graceful lines of this piece made it a great candidate for a make over.

By applying a fresh coat of “Hillside Green” and topping the seat with a comfortable cushion covered in a pretty blue and green toile, the vanity chair now makes a perfect addition to any bedroom or bath.
