Beautiful Quilts at Crooked Willow

Beautiful Quilts at Crooked Willow

This week at Crooked Willow we have many beautiful quilts on display made by our very own Joann Wintheiser and Rita Matheny.  These ladies have been quilting for several years.  The colors and patterns are candy for the eye, and the workmanship shows they truly love what they do!
This quilt, made by Joann, was designed from her husband’s antique feed sack collection. The sacks are from different towns, including Minneapolis, Mankato and Fergus Falls. I love how this unique quilt shows off a cherished collection with style.
“Quilts of Valor” are made for wounded and injured servicemen and women returning from war. Rita has included a beautiful inscription on this quilt paying respect to all our troops.
